WORDS HEAL, INC.
The Sadie Peterson Delaney Literary Collaborative
Words Heal, Inc. - The Sadie Peterson Delaney Literary Collaborative, is a not-for-profit organization whose mission is to bridge the cultural, economic and knowledge gaps that prevent people from accessing needed medical and mental health assistance. We promote bibliotherapy as a mainstream and commonly-used complement to traditional therapies. We publish literature and media which reflects the lived-experiences of people of faith, people of color, the aged and the differently-abled. We also produce evidence-based research on bibliotherapy for health practitioners, public libraries and the general public.
The Elder Diaries podcast is the first of its kind - delivering a targeted mental wellness tool to seniors, through oral history interviews. Through touching, humorous and RAW human experiences, you'll see what it means to thrive as a elder American. We've selected the best stories from ordinary people with extraordinary lessons learned, from aging crises.
