PROGRAMS & SERVICES
Words Heal, Inc. is the leader in providing recommendations and research to support the use of literature by underrepresented people to cope with life’s struggles. We use our diverse corps of staff and volunteers to reach mental health and health practitioners, public libraries and the general public to increase the use of bibliotherapy. Our work helps those who contribute most to the health of our society understand the power of words to heal.
The Elder Diaries podcast is the first of its kind - delivering a targeted mental wellness tool to seniors, through oral history interviews. Through touching, humorous and RAW human experiences, you'll see what it means to thrive as a elder American. We've selected the best stories from ordinary people with extraordinary lessons learned, from aging crises.
BLACK ASPIE & SPOUSE SUPPORT GROUP (BASS)
Words Heal, Inc. hosts a private Facebook group for adults of African-descent who have High Functioning Autism/Asperger's Syndrome and their spouses. Black Aspie & Spouse Support (BASS) group is a safe, online space. We share information about the latest research, get emotional support and collect ideas for coping with the daily stressors that can come with being Aspie - or supporting a loved-one who is.

The Words Heal, Inc. Personal Librarian service is designed to offer facilitated bibliotherapy. We carefully select culturally-relevant stories, media and information resources to help our clients make informed decisions, identify and gain insight on a specific problem and reduce perceptions of isolation. This service is currently offered to the public at no cost, thanks to the generous support of our donors and sponsors. Contact us at email@example.com for more information.

Our recommendations for literature and resources are culturally-sensitive and relevant to the information provided regarding your client's lived experiences.
