CARE INFORMATION SERVICE

Our Care Information Specialist will assist you with completing research and administrative tasks to access the medical, mental health, reproductive or self-care services that you need.  We will build a team of specialists whose knowledge and experience will support you. Care Information Services are requested in prepaid, monthly packages for 12, 16 or 20 hours. This includes one-on-one time, research, and correspondence.

INCLUDES:
  • Finding public and general information and research on a specific condition
  • Explaining resources shared by your provider
  • Making calls to providers and keeping the information organized
  • Contacting family members and loved ones for assistance 
  • Making a list of products or services that may help with your care​
DOES NOT INCLUDE:
  • ​Treatment or diagnosis of disease
  • Administrative or research assistance regarding financial advice or money matters

Do you accept insurance?

Answer: 
Our Care Information Specialist services are an extension of library and information. This is not a healthcare service. We do not accept or participate in insurance panels. However, we do solicit  donations to cover the costs of services for people who require assistance paying.

How much does the service cost?

Answer:
The fee structure for the Care Information Specialist service is prepaid, monthly at the rate of $25 per hour. We will help you prioritize projects, estimate the number of hours required and assist you with choosing from our 12, 16 and 20 hour plans. Each plan includes scheduled time to meet with your specialist, weekly.  

We offer reduced fee (fixed income) and subsidized plans, thanks to the generous support of our community.

Our services are provided remotely, using phone or video chat.
